Ohio Expo Center, Columbus June 7, 2008 Ohio Cattlemen’s Association’s BEST Program Concludes a Successful Ninth Year

Over 400 people were in attendance to celebrate the 2007-2008 Ohio Cattlemen’s Association BEST (Beef Exhibitor Show Total) Program as it wrapped up on June 7 with its Annual Awards Banquet held at the Ohio Expo Center in Columbus. Steve Rauch from the program’s corporate sponsor, Steve R. Rauch Excavation and Demolition of Dayton, was on hand to help with the presentation of more than $25,000 worth of awards in the form of U.S. Savings Bonds, luggage, coats and show materials.
Steve R. Rauch of Steve Rauch Excavation and Demolition is the program’s corporate sponsor. Steve made a long-term commitment to the BEST program. Rauch’s generous support helped increase the program’s educational focus by providing two $1,500 college scholarships for BEST participants, an essay contest and a photography contest. All this has helped the BEST program post strong numbers of cattle and youth this season. Over 390 head of cattle were entered in the BEST program with more than 290 youth participating in 2007-2008.
