The second Cattlemen’s Gala Celebration and Fundraiser will be held Saturday, August 25 at Leeds Farm in Ostrander, Ohio. Event hosts, the Ohio Cattlemen’s Foundation, a 501 (c) (3) tax deductible charity, and Ohio Cattlemen’s Association (OCA) want to remind Ohio’s beef producers and friends of the industry the registration deadline for the event is August 13.
Ohio’s cattlemen have a lot to celebrate. Plan to join the celebration on Saturday, August 25 to support the Ohio Cattlemen’s Foundation youth scholarship fund benefiting the next generation of beef industry leaders. The inaugural event raised $27,000 for scholarships, and the 2018 event will build off that success.
Meredith Oglesby of Hillsboro, was a recipient of one of the inaugural Cattlemen’s Gala scholarships. “After graduating in May of 2020, I hope to pursue a career where I can educate others about the importance of agriculture.” Her involvement in the beef industry helped her gain valuable skills that she believes will help her achieve her goals. “I’d like to thank the Ohio Cattlemen’s Foundation for awarding me a scholarship to fund part of my education,” said Oglesby.
Gala attendees will gather in their boots and hats for dinner, drinks and dancing in the barn at Leeds Farm. Each registration includes two drink tickets, appetizers, a beef tenderloin dinner and entertainment. Back by popular demand, the evening will feature live music from the John D. Hale Band, a nationally known red dirt music group from Missouri. Silent and live auctions will be held during the evening to support youth scholarships. The gala is open to all. Don’t miss what is sure to be a good time for a great cause!
