BECOME A BEEF AMBASSADOR!

OCA and the Ohio Beef Council (OBC) are seeking young industry enthusiasts to serve as beef ambassadors at the 2023 Ohio State Fair July 26 - Aug. 6. These ambassadors will work in exhibits or booths educating consumers about beef and how it is raised as well as mingle among producers.   

This is a great opportunity for young cattlemen to get familiar with Ohio agriculture, network with peers, legislators, commodity experts and more. Ambassadors will be able to add many new skills to their resume after this experience. Selected candidates will go through a brief orientation to become more familiar with beef talking points such as sustainability, raising cattle and more.

Candidates must either be high school (at least 16 years old) or college students. This will be a paid position at $12.00 per hour and ambassadors will be given beef branded apparel along with free meal tickets for shifts worked.

TEAM BUILDING WITH BEEF!

The Ohio Cattlemen’s Association is looking for enthusiastic volunteers interested in a community service or team building project during the 2023 Ohio State Fair! Volunteer opportunities are available at the Steak Barn or Taste of Ohio Café, from Wednesday, July 26 through Sunday, August 6. 


Each volunteer will receive a beef themed t-shirt, complimentary meal, OSF admission and a parking pass for the group. Make a day at the fair with your 4-H Club, FFA Chapter, county association or company team, while also working with producers and industry leaders to promote the beef industry and enjoying all that the state fair has to offer!

Interested in joining the fun? Here is what you need to know:

There are 2 locations where we will be working:

- Taste of Ohio Café
- Food Tent by Cooper Arena

There will be 2 shift options:

- Morning Shift - 10:30 a.m. - 3 p.m.

- Afternoon Shift - 2:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

Each location needs AT LEAST 4 volunteers per shift. If you have under 8 volunteers, you will just sign up for one location. If you have 8 or more volunteers, you will select "both" locations in the Form below. Your group will then be split between both locations.
