The sale will include cow-calf pairs, bred cows and bred heifers. Breeds represented include Angus, Limousin, Simmental and crossbred cattle.
The Replacement Female Sale is an excellent opportunity for producers to enhance their herds and make sound marketing decisions. The sale offers young, high-quality cattle backed by solid genetics, as well as yearling heifers artificially bred to proven, calving-ease sires. Consignments include females calving from January through early May, providing options to fit a variety of calving windows for Ohio producers.
All females will be under the age of five as of Jan. 1, 2027, and may be from registered or commercial backgrounds. Bred females are bred to bulls with known EPDs, and calves at the side of cows must be sired by a bull with known EPDs. Pregnancy status has been verified by an accredited veterinarian through traditional palpation, ultrasound or blood testing through a professional laboratory. Consignments have also fulfilled specific health requirements.
At the 2025 sale, buyers evaluated 73 lots of bred heifers, bred cows and cow-calf pairs. The sale included 59 lots of bred heifers, which averaged $4,115; three cow-calf pairs sold for an average of $4,533 each; and 11 lots of bred cows averaged $4,372. The 73 lots grossed a record $317,000, for an overall average of $4,342. The females sold to buyers from Ohio and Michigan.
